SFX Multi-purpose Hall

MPC completed the structural and civil engineering design for this new multi-purpose hall at St. Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton. The hall structure incorporated structural steel roof and wall framing with large span beams and trusses encapsulating an indoor basketball court, seating stands, change rooms and offices. The architectural arrangement of elements such as the transition between masonry walls and structural steel framing required considerable attention to structural detail to ensure constructability was maintained.
